Tasks focused in this project

  1. Planning and Task Creation
Defined five core tasks for users to complete, focusing on critical interactions and potential pain points within the app experience.

  2. Field Test Preparation
Created pre- and post-field test forms to gather qualitative and quantitative feedback from users, aimed at understanding their initial expectations and post-interaction thoughts.

  3. User Testing (Field Test)
Conducted field tests with four users, observing and recording their interaction with the prototype as they completed each task.

  4. Feedback Analysis
Summarised and analysed feedback from the field tests, identifying key insights, pain points, and common themes.

  5. Prototype Revision
Updated the prototype based on user feedback and additional research, refining interactions and addressing usability issues highlighted during testing.

  6. Time-to-Task Focus Group Testing
Held a focus group to conduct a time-to-task test on the revised prototype, evaluating the efficiency and speed with which users completed tasks. This final step helped confirm usability improvements and measure prototype performance against time benchmarks.

  7. Final Evaluation
Reviewed the revised prototype to ensure improvements aligned with user needs and enhanced overall experience.

Key takeaways

A key takeaway for the Coffee Quest app is the importance of creating a seamless, engaging experience that connects coffee lovers with local coffee shops through personalised recommendations and rewards. By prioritising intuitive navigation, a visually appealing interface, and easily accessible information on coffee varieties and shop details, the app can enhance user satisfaction, encourage exploration, and foster loyalty.

Additionally, integrating social features or user-generated content, such as reviews and photos, can further drive community engagement and make the app a go-to platform for discovering and enjoying coffee experiences.
